"Come now, and let us reason together,"
Says the LORD,
"Though you sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool."
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
....And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
..."I who speak to you am He."
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone whould even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
---->Romans 5:7, 8
..."Neither do I condemn you..."
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, not height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
"It is a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh."
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
"Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hyppocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."
"Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
Do not curse the king, even in your thought;
Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom;
For a bird of the air may carry your voice,
And a bird in flight may tell the matter.
"He must increase, but I must decrease."
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrarary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
---->Romans 6:1, 2 (NIV)
Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise--think on these things.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
"...The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the LORD."
"...Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?..."
---->Job 1:21, 2:10
"...and if I perish, I perish!"
"My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh,
And I have escaped by the skin of my teeth."
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.
..."Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
---->1 Peter 3:15, 16
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
---->2 Timothy 2:15
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it, thou shalt not do any work: thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man servant, nor thy maid servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger who is within thy gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day. Wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man's all.
He hath shown thee, O man, what is good;
And what doth the LORD require of thee
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with thy God?
"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide in faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
---->1 Corinthians 13:11-13
The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
You preparest a table for me in the presence of mine enemies.
You anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
